Canada earned the third straight win in Irapuato. They crushed Panama to stay undefeated. Canada led from start to finish. They established a massive 65-6 lead at halftime and cruised to the win in the second half. Pippa Gibb (170-PG-2010) recorded 18 points, while Frances Vollet (183-F/C-2009) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Canada. Jazmin Flores (169-C-2009) answered with 6 points for Panama.

Mexico - Colombia 45-39
Mexico held off Colombia to gain the second place in Group B. Colombia enjoyed a 16-8 lead after ten minutes. But Mexico responded with a 26-10 rally in the next two periods to spur ahead for good. Yannia Valverde (175-F-2009) tossed in 10 points and collected 8 rebounds for the hosts. Maria Millan (178-PG-2009) replied with 12 points for Colombia.

Puerto Rico - Venezuela 45-64
Venezuela outscored Puerto Rico to register the first win in Group A. Venezuela played a strong first half. They piled up a comfortable 43-21 halftime lead. Puerto Rico managed to slow their opponents down in the second half but could not avert the loss. Albanys Ramirez (174-G/F-2009) tossed in 18 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for Venezuela. Lucianna Parrotta (183-SF-2009) answered with 11 points and 13 rebounds for Puerto Rico.

USA - Argentina 101-46
USA captured the third consecutive win in Irapuato. They breezed past Argentina to end up in the first place in Group A. USA accumulated a 47-17 halftime lead. They sank 53 points in the second half to march to the win. Eve Long (190-F-2009) delivered 17 points, while Micah Ojo (183-F-2009) provided 15 points in the win. Kiara Miro (175-F-2009) netted 10 points for Argentina.
