Puerto Rico named their 24 players for the 2010 FIBA-Americas U18 Championship to be played from June 26-30 in San Antonio, Texas. This tournament qualifies the top four teams to the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship.

The team is coached by Luis Wichi Ruiz who has a combination of the best local talent along many names from US schools.

Some of the best plaayers on the list are Matt Lpez who is 6'10', DeJuan Marrero of 6'5', Christopher Ortiz who is 6'7', Gary Browne, among others.

The 24 player list is completed by: Luis Quiones, Kevin Ramiu, Carmelo Betancourt (92), ngel Rodrguez, Jos Agosto, Jorge Santos, Owen Prez, Angel Matas, Edgar Pars. Wil Martnez, Jos Gonzlez, Rasham Suarez, Carlos Albertorio, Wilangel Corps, Ismael Mercado, TJ Curry, Manuel Andjar, Michael Alvarado, Edward Seda and Nelson Perez.

Puerto Rico is in Group A along with Brazil, Canada and Uruguay. Group B has Argentina, Mexico, USA and US Virgin Islands.

FINAL USA - Canada 113-74 USA are crowned champions in Saint Catharines. They drubbed hosting Canada in the Final on Saturday. Cole Anthony (188-G-00) came up with 18 points to pace the winners. USA unleashed 61 points in the first period to open a massive 28-point halftime lead. USA dominated in the second half and raced to a well-deserved win at the end. USA - Argentina 104-92 USA advanced into Final in Saint Catharines. They outlasted Argentina in a tough semifinal clash on Friday. Six players scored in double digits for the North American side. Quentin Grimes (196-G-00) delivered 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. USA sank 54 points in the first half to take a 15-point halftime lead. Dominican Republic - Argentina 70-87 Argentina bettered Dominican Republic to stay in the title quest in Saint Catharines. Marcos Giordano (183-PG-00) delivered 35 points to pace the winners.
