With a 66-43 lead in the third quarter, it looked like the Dominicans would cruise to their first win of the tournament. But the Bahamas, led by the outside shooting of Mitchell Johnson and a great performance by Jeremy Barr, staged a stunning run to take the lead, and only a late three-pointer by Jose Fortuna sent the game into overtime. An 11-0 run midway through the extra period (85-85 to 96-85) gave the Bahamas their margin of victory. |
