CBC, Semifinals: Cuba - Jamaica 93-98
Jamaica outplayed Cuba 98-93 advancing to Big CBC Final. That was very exciting game, decided in over time. Jamaica was much closer to win in regular time, but
Cuba improved when it was the most important tying the score to 87-87. Jamaica managed to score 11, while Cuba stopped on 6 points in overtime meaning that Jamaica will meet British Virgin Islands, who outplayed Trinidad and Tobago in other Semifinals.
Weyinmi Efejuku (196-G-86) (196-G-86) was a key player for Jamaica last night. He was totally unstoppable for the Cubans nailing 32 points. Samardo Samuels (203-F-89) also had very important role netting 18 pts. Kimani Ffriend (211-C-77, agency: Court Side, college: Nebraska) followed them with 14 points. It was a game with lof of turns. First quarter belonged to Cuba, second to Jamaica. After the breather Jamaica jumped to plus 6, but that was not enough for the win, at least in regular time. Geoffrei Silvestre and his teammates drastically improved in the last 10 minutes, but they failed in over time. So for third place Cuba will meet Trinidad and Tobago today.
