U.S. Virgin Islands - British Virgin Islands 89-70
US Virgin Islands remained on the winning track in Tortola. They held off British Virgin Islands to clinch 4-0 record on top of Group A. Khalid Hart (198-SF-95) posted 20 points to lead the winning side. US Virgin Islands established a 45:34 halftime advantage. US Virgin Islands maintained the lead throughout the second half and coasted to the victory. Ivan Aska (200-F-90, agency: Comsport, college: Murray St.) accounted for 19 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Franklyn Penn (185-PG-97) responded with 22 points for British Virgin Islands as they fell at 2-2 record but still made it into the semifinal stage.
Barbados - Cayman Islands 85-50
Barbados defeated Cayman Islands to gain the second victory at the CBC Championship. Akeem Marsh (206-F/C-87) scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the winners. Barbados improved at 2-2 record but finished just short of the semifinal stage. Barbados built a 42:22 halftime lead. Cayman Islands narrowed the gap at the final break. But Barbados went on a 27:8 run in the fourth term and cruised to the victory. Keefe Birkett (183-G-88) provided 14 points in the win. Jorge Ebanks (185-SF-86, agency: LA sports) responded with 15 points for Cayman Islands.
Group B
Surinam - Guyana 81-48
Surinam opened win count in Tortola. They stormed past Guyana for 1-3 record in Group B. Sergio Randamiede (C) stepped up with 13 points for the winners. Surinam nailed 43 points in the first half to build an 18-point lead. They held Guyana to just 23 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Yves Goedschalk (190-G) tossed in 12 points in the victory. Keron McKenzie (193-G-86, college: Armstr.Atlantic) responded with 15 points for Guyana.
Antigua - Bermudas 71-64
Antigua held off Bermudas to seal their semifinal appearance. Ernest Scott (201-F-82, college: Valdosta St.) posted 19 points and collected 8 rebounds to help Antigua improve at 3-1 record in Group B. Antigua accumulated a 33:23 halftime lead. They kept Bermudas at bay throughout the second half and marched to the important victory. Jerome Richardson (194-F/G-83, college: Louisiana Tech) delivered 14 points in the win. Chris Crumpler (191-G/F-83) netted 15 points for Bermudas. Sullivan Phillips (198-G/F-79, college: Wash.Adventist) had 13 points in the defeat.
