Olmeca - Pampichi 65-72 The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Pampichi's (2-1) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Olmeca (1-2) 72-65 on Tuesday evening. Walter Gasparico (-89) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-89) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Kevin Alvarez (185-95, college: Coast Guard) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and Walter Ramirez (-97) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Olmeca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pampichi moved-up to third place. Olmeca at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Coloso and GMS. Pampichi are looking forward to face Coloso (#4) in the next round. Olmeca will play against GMS and it may be a tough game between close rivals. ELOHIM dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to GMS's 18. They outrebounded GMS 48-27 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. The former international swingman Pablo Gonzalez (194-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four ELOHIM players scored in double figures. Point guard Anthony Guerra (178-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and J Duarte added 2 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GMS. ELOHIM have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Club Force. GMS at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Coloso and Olmeca. ELOHIM will play against league's leader Club Force in Guatemala City in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GMS will play against Olmeca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
