Pablo Gonzalez
Former international Swingman Pablo Gonzalez (194-G/F-89) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best ELOHIM and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 30-year old swingman had a double-double of 18 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team outclassed GMS (#5, 1-2) with 40-point margin 86-46. ELOHIM maintains the 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. ELOHIM will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Gonzalez had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be ELOHIM's top player in his first season with the team. Gonzalez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 15.0ppg), assists (2nd best: 2.0apg) and averages solid 61.1% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another ELOHIM's star - 31-year old point guard Pablo Cano (178-PG-88). Cano impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists. Of course together with Gonzalez he helped ELOHIM with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked GMS (#5, 1-2) 86-46. ELOHIM's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Cano is one of the most experienced players at ELOHIM and similarly like Pablo Gonzalez has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#3). He also recorded 8.0 assists per game.
The third best performed player last round was American Kevin Alvarez (185-G-95) of Olmeca (#6). Alvarez scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Alvarez's great performance Olmeca lost 65-72 to the higher-ranked Pampichi (#3, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Olmeca not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Alvarez could try to bring Olmeca's a little bit higher in the standings. Alvarez has individually a great season in Guatemala. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.7ppg (2nd best).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Anthony Guerra (178-PG-97) of GMS - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
