The most important game of round 1 took place in Chimaltenango where ELOHIM edged Coloso (0-1) 74-71 on Monday night. Point guard Pablo Cano (178-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-90) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side Ottoniel Roriguez responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Coloso will play next round against strong Pampichi trying to make it back to the top of the standings. ELOHIM will try to continue on its current victory against GMS at home.
