Naturalized American Guard David Goddard (185-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Pampichi, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage).
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, five rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, Second Stage bottom-ranked team GMS (#4, 0-1) with 27-point margin 101-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Pampichi is placed at 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Pampichi won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Goddard had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Pampichi's top player in his first season with the team. David Goddard has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.4ppg) and averages impressive 2.4spg and 67.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old Pablo Cano (178-PG-88) of league's leader ELOHIM. Cano had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for ELOHIM to edge Coloso (0-1) 74-71. His team has extremely good start of the Second Stage. They won their first game. However the Second Stage is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Cano is one of the most experienced players at ELOHIM and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 4.7rpg and 6.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Pampichi's star - Walter Gasparico (89). Gasparico scored 17 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Pampichi, helping his team with a 101-74 easy win against #4 ranked GMS in a game of the week. Pampichi has a very good start of the Second Stage. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Gasparico also has a very good start of the Second Stage with very strong stats. Gasparico has a great season in Guatemala. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.8ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (4th best).
