Pablo Gonzalez
Former international Swingman Pablo Gonzalez (194-G/F-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Halcones, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed Azucareros (#3, 7-4) with 26-point margin 68-42. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Halcones to consolidate first place in the Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. Halcones have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game Gonzalez had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Halcones and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Pablo Gonzalez has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 8.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.7rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 67.6% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Alex Juarez (175-PG-1993) of Azucareros. Juarez had a very good evening with 23 points and 3 rebounds. Bad luck as Azucareros lost that game 46-52 to slightly higher-ranked Amatitlan (#2, 7-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Azucareros still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-4 record is not bad at all. Juarez is a newcomer at Azucareros, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was another Halcones' star - former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-G/F-1990). Gonzalez showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was another key player of Halcones, helping his team with a 68-42 easy win against #3 ranked Azucareros. Halcones confirms their top position in the standings. Gonzalez has a great season in Guatemala. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.6ppg (8th best), rebounds with 8.0rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.9apg (best passer). He also has 3.1spg and FGP: 64.8%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
