The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked PSM (9-2) on the court of sixth ranked Suchitepequez on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Suchitepequez 63-55. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of PSM. Suchitepequez (6-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Salcaja. PSM at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Suchitepequez is looking forward to face Momostenango (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. PSM will play against Quetzaltenango (#7) and is hoping to win this game.

San Jose maintains ninth place with 1-10 record, which they share with Panajachel. Jutiapa at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Amatitlan P.. San Jose will play against higher ranked Jalapa (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jutiapa will play against the league's leader St. Lucia and will have a slim chance for a victory.
