The game had a very big importance for second-ranked PSN as it allowed them to take a leadership position. PSN defeated 4th ranked Forza in Guatemala 100-82. PSN outrebounded Forza 39-26 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cesar Catalan (190-2007) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Emiliano Montufar who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Center Mario Reyes (-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Forza at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Guatemala: USAC (#3) and Litegua (#6). USAC (4-2) smashed visiting Litegua (1-5) by 18 points 78-60. The winners were led by power forward Enrique Samayoa (196-1982) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Kevin Alvarez supported him with 23 points. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by Victor Mendez did not help to save the game for Litegua. USAC maintains third position with 4-2 record behind leader PSN. Litegua at the other side stay at the bottom place with five games lost.
