American Taliik Ross (213-C) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Solola AsoBasket and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Metropolitana Player of the Week award for round 9.
The center had a double-double of 38 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Pat City (#6, 0-8), the league's bottom-ranked team 89-79. Solola maintains the 2nd position in Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Solola will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Ross had a remarkable 78.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Solola, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Keyano College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ross is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.0rpg), assists (4th best: 2.6apg) and averages solid 60.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Dariel Medina (183-PG-1997) of Pat City. Medina impressed basketball fans with 32 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Pat City lost that game 79-89 to the higher-ranked Solola (#2, 6-2). Pat City are still at the very bottom. 8 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Medina is one of the most experienced players at Pat City and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Pat City's star - American Myson Lowe (178-PG-2001). Lowe got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. Despite Lowe's great performance the Pat City lost 79-89 to the higher-ranked Solola (#2, 6-2). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Pat City can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 8 games. Lowe has individually a great season in Guatemala. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 34.3ppg (best scorer).
