Coyotes defeated Halcones at home 76-69. It was a good game for Lacewell None who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. DJon Dunnally contributed with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Salgado Salgado answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for Halcones. Halcones will play next round against PIBA trying to get back on the winning streak. Coyotes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Forza (2-1) recorded a loss in Guatemala. Hosts were defeated by New Legends (2-1) 116-109. It was a great evening for American guard Kedrick Frink (190, college: Salisbury) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Quincy McGriff helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Sebastian Tabata with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. New Legends will play against PSN (#7) in Guatemala in the next round. Forza will play against Crossover (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Guatemala: USAC (#3) and Pat City (#8). USAC (3-0) crushed visiting Pat City (0-2) by 32 points 96-64. It was an exceptional evening for Justin Bradley who led the winners and scored 31 points and 9 rebounds. USAC's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anfernee Munnings came up with 30 points and 8 rebounds for Pat City in the defeat. USAC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pat City will play against Yolo's (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
In the last two games of round 3 Crossover smashed Yolo's on the road 99-35. Winless PIBA was destroyed by PSN on its own court 61-101.
