Saint Vincent claimed the first victory at the CBC Championship. They outgunned Guyana for 1-2 record in Group B. Shavern Weekes (168-G-86) tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.
Saint Vincent accounted for a 14:9 lead after the first frame. They stretched the margin at 16-point halftime advantage. Guyana narrowed the deficit at 10-point at the final intermission. But Saint Vincent unloaded 23 points in the fourth stanza to seal the victory. Sorayah Williams (183-F-84) netted 16 points and collected 11 rebounds, while Vasha Adams (183-F/C-83) added 10 points and 13 boards in the win. Sonia Rodney (160-SG) topscored with 13 points for Guyana. Shakeila Sampson (165-SG) had 11 points in the defeat.
