Miriam McKenzie (ex PeKa) is a newcomer at Boa Viagem

Boa Viagem-Angra-Acore (Liga Feminina) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old Guyanese ex-international guard Miriam McKenzie (177-90, college: Loyola, MD. She is a dual citizen owning also American passport. McKenzie just played at PeKa in Finnish SM-sarja.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she played in the final of Finnish League in 2013. McKenzie received also Latinbasket.com All-CBC Championships 2nd Team award in 2015. She represented Guyana at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) last year. Her stats at that event were 5 games: Score-1 (24.4ppg), Reb-4 (11.6rpg), 1.8apg, Steals-1 (4.4spg), FGP: 43.5%, 3PT: 37.1%, FT: 72.5%.
McKenzie graduated from Loyola College in 2012 and it is her fourth season as a professional player.
