27-year old Guyanese guard Miriam McKenzie (177-90, college: Loyola, MD) left Ciudad de la Adelantados (LF2).
The last season she played at AS Aris Thessalonikis in Greek A1 where in 21 games she was third best scorer with impressive 19.6ppg and averaged 11.4rpg (#3 in the league), 3.3apg and 2.1spg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Co-Rookie of the Year, named to All-Imports Team and named to 2nd Team.
McKenzie played in the final of Finnish League in 2013.
She is a dual citizen owning also American passport.
She represented Guyana at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) two years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: Score-1 (24.4ppg), Reb-4 (11.6rpg), 1.8apg, Steals-1 (4.4spg), FGP: 43.5%, 3PT: 37.1%, FT: 72.5%.
McKenzie has played previously professionally in Portugal (Boa Viagem) and Finland (Peli Karhut).
She attended Loyola College until 2012 and it is her sixth season as a professional player.
