Miriam McKenzie (ex Maresme) is a newcomer at CAB Madeira

CAB Madeira (Liga Feminina) added to their roster 31-year old Guyanese-American ex-international guard Miriam McKenzie (177cm-1990, college: Loyola, MD) for season 2022-23. McKenzie played last season at Maresme in Spanish LF Challenge. In two games she recorded 8.5ppg, 10.0rpg and 2.5spg. She also played for Plasencia (LF Challenge) where in 8 games she averaged 12.4ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.0spg.
McKenzie also represented Guyana at the FIBA Caribbean Championship four years ago.
She is quite experienced player. McKenzie has played also professionally in Finland (Peli Karhut), Greece (AS Aris Thessalonikis), Portugal (Boa Viagem and Sportiva) and Spain (Clarinos).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others her team was regular season runner-up in Portuguese League in 2020. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Honorable Mention in 2020.
McKenzie graduated from Loyola College in 2012 and it will be her eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
