Joshua Nurse (ex Shabab) is a newcomer at Oviedo

Joshua Nurse

Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto (Primera FEB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 26-year-old USA-Guyanese 208cm power forward Joshua Nurse (college: SFC) for the 2024-25 season. He played most recently at Shabab in the Libyan D1 league. Nurse also played for in Lithuanian NKL, where he averaged 7.9ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.1apg, and 2.8bpg in 21 games last season. He briefly played for Vellaznimi Gjakove (Superliga) in the Kosovan league.
Nurse is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Austria (Dukes), Georgia (Dinamo), Kosovo, Lithuania, North Macedonia (Kozuv), and TBL (Tri-State Admirals). His team was the regular season runner-up in Libyan League Group 3 in 2024.
The nurse graduated from St. Francis College (NY) in 2020, and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
