Haiti came out of the gate fast, building a 10-point lead early in the second quarter at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on July 9, 2026. Barbados clawed all the way back to force a 45-45 tie late in the half, and once Akeem Marsh (208-C-1986) answered Gide Noel (199-PF-1993)'s tying layup with one of his own, the game flipped decisively Barbados outscored Haiti 14-2 over the following stretch and never looked back, eventually closing on a 24-7 fourth quarter to win 91-68.
Kyrone Alexander (196-G-2003, college: Boston U.) was the story of the night, exploding for 36 points on 11-of-22 shooting while adding eight rebounds and four assists, his individual scoring bursts driving much of Barbados's turnaround. Carl Thorpe (201-F -2001, college: York, NE) was equally impactful inside, going 7-of-10 for 20 points and 12 rebounds. Cady Lalanne (208-C-1992, college: UMass) did what he could to keep Haiti competitive with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists without a single turnover, but Barbados's depth and Alexander's scoring explosion in particular proved too much once the game turned in the third quarter.
