Indiana Pacers sign rookie Bennedict Mathurin

Bennedict Mathurin

Indiana Pacers inked 20-year old Canadian-Haitian 6-6 swingman Bennedict Mathurin for upcoming season. Mathurin just graduated from Arizona (NCAA). In 37 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.5apg last season. He helped them to win Pac-12 Tournament and end the regular season at the top position.
This summer he was drafted by the Pacers in first round (6th overall). Mathurin just came directly from Arizona and it is his first season in pro basketball.
He represented Canada at the World Cup U19 in Latvia this year. Mathurin's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 16.1ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.9apg, FGP: 56.9%, 3PT: 34.5%, FT: 80.6%.
