Intercommunal Basketball: Carrefour and Petit-Goave host 1st Edition

The Carrefour Basketball League with the support of the Haitian Basketball Federation announces the organization of the 1st edition of the tournament called "Friendship Tournament" from May 1 to June 11, 2023. It must be said that this tournament will pit 6 teams from several municipalities in the West department and the competition will take place on 2 sites, notably in Carrefour and Petit-Goave.
In group A, the teams of Carrefour, Fontamara and Jaguar de Carrefour, will compete on the ground of Carrefour. In group B, the clubs of Petit-Goave, Gressier and Miragoane will play on the ground of Petit-Goave.
For the grand opening of the tournament, on Monday May 1 at 3:30 in the afternoon, at the Center Sportif de Carrefour, Fontamara will play against Carrefour. On Friday May 5 in Petit Goave, Gressier will face Petit-Goave at the same time. According to the words of the Secretary General of the FHB, Steeve Polycarpe, this first tournament is the beginning of a host of events which will be organized with our regional leagues. "Despite a very difficult context, we will continue to work to help and support our regional leagues," said the manager, who said he was taking all the necessary steps for the smooth running of this sporting event.
