Caen keeps Norelia for another season

Caen Basket Calvados (NM1) has re-signed 31-year-old American forward Marc-Eddy Norelia for the new season. Norelia, who also holds a Haitian passport, stands at 203cm and played college basketball at FGCU. He is the second import player on the team, with DR Congolese Malela Mutuale also signing earlier. Norelia played for Caen Basket Calvados last season, averaging 10.2ppg, 7.7rpg, 2.1apg, 1.4spg, and 1.1bpg in 18 NM1 games. He was instrumental in helping the team win the NM1 Play-Offs title and was named Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Finals MVP, voted to the All-Imports Team, and selected to the Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 First Team. Norelia also had a stint with Melilla Ciudad del Deporte (LEB Gold) in the Spanish league.
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Norelia is familiar with European, Asian, and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Japan (Earthfriends), Portugal (Oliveirense), Spain (Noreliareda San Pablo Burgos and Oviedo), and The Basketball Tournament (Team Challenge ALS).
He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2017 and it'll be his eighth season in pro basketball. Norelia played also for Tulane University for one year.
