Icevic clinch Torneo Apertura Mayor A title - Jul 24, 2016


Icevic clinched Liga Mayor title as they swept the Final series against Bancatlan 2-0. In the second game Icevic posted a comfortable 71-51 win to lift up the trophy. Bancatlan managed to win the first period 19-14, while Icevic replied with a massive 22-6 surge in the second frame to take an 11-halftime advantage. Moreover the winners added a 19-16 rally in the third frame and closed the game with a 16-11 run. Edwin Carrasco (PG) top-scored for the winners with 23 points, while Michael Martinez and Amet Pomares (F-95) posted 10 apiece. Leonardo Amador (189-G-88) answered with 19 points in the losing effort.

Grupo Atlantida celebrate Liga Mayor B title as they swept the Final series against Ficohsa. In Game 1 they posted an 85-70 win as they led 45-23 at the half-time. David Flores (G) top-scored for the winners with 27 points and Victor Gutierrez notched 15. Cesar Pineda replied with 21 points in the losing effort.
In Game 2 Grupo Atlantida celebrated a 77-57 to clinch the title.
