Nelly Rapalo (173-F-1999) erupted with 35 points as her Honduras overcame Nicaragua 81:69 at the Central American Championship. Nicaragua won the opening period 22-15, whilst Honduras took control in the rest of the game. They replied with a 17-13 run in the second period and posted a 22-20 rally in the third. Moreover, Honduras closed the game with a final 27-14 surge to seal the win.
Ankara Reichle (171-SF-2000) posted 17 points for the winners and Lesly Colon (184-G-2002) had 9. Shannen Peralta (F-2003) answered with 25 points in a loss and Naomy Alvarez (G-2004) notched 11.
