Knights celebrate Elite EBL title - Jul 30, 2019

The best team in the league this season was rewarded. The Cricket Club Knights pulverized the Falmouth Saints 90-64 in Game 3 of their best-of-3 final to be crowned #EliteBL champions. Both teams looked very focused and organized. Amassing 22pts apiece in the 1st quarter - the most by either team in this series. Saints was the first to show some cracks during the 2nd quarter and Knights took advantage their opponent's deficiency to go into the break 45-40 leaders. The writing was even more pronounced in the 3rd quarter, Saints looked fatigued while the eventual champions just seem like they were just getting started and outscore their rivals 23-15, taking a 68-55 lead into the final stanza. Antonio Spence's game high 33 points and 12 boards with most coming in the fourth stanza lead the charge for Knights who annihilated a lethargic Saints team 22-9. Jhaun Bryan's 19pts, 11 rebounds double-double backed up Spence. Despite best efforts Earldom Smith's 17 points and teammate Aldane Anderson 's 14 just wasn't enough ammunition to sway victory their way.
