Neptunas Klaipeda (LKL) signed 27-year old American (has also Jamaica passport) forward Omari Johnson (206-104kg-89, college: Oregon State). He played last season at Maine Red Claws (D-League) in the U.S. In 52 games he had very impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.4apg. Johnson helped them to win the Atlantic Division title (twice). Quite impressive season as he was named to D-League All-Star Game 3-Point Shootout. He was called during the season by the Portland Trail Blazers. Johnson also played that season for another team Maine Red Claws in D-League where in 52 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 15.5ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.4apg. He contributed to his team winning the D-League Atlantic Division title (twice). A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to D-League All-Star Game 3-Point Shootout.
In 2012 (a year after he left the college) Johnson was drafted by Canton Charge (D-League) in fifth round (74th overall).
The former Oregon State standoutis in his sixth season in pro basketball.
Johnson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League this summer.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted USBasket.com All-NBL Canada 1st Team back in 2013.
Johnson has played previously professionally in Spain (Blancos de Rueda) and Canada (The Storm and Power).
