Nevsehir Uni tabs Shenneika Smith

Shenneika Smith

Nevsehir HCI Bektas Veli Uni (TKBL) inked 27-year old Jamaican international swingman Shenneika Smith (185-89, college: St.John's). She played in the summer at Ipswich Force in Australian QBL. In 14 games she averaged 12.1ppg, 6.4rpg, 4.2apg, 2.4spg and 1.9bpg. The last season Smith played at another team Lady Generals in U.S. semi-pro league UBA where in four games she had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.3apg, 2.3spg and 1.3bpg.
Three years ago she was drafted by New York Liberty (WNBA) in third round (25th overall).
The former St.John's University staris in her fourth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements her team won Portuguese Federation Cup in 2014. Smith received also Latinbasket.com All-CBC Championships Honorable Mention award in 2015.
She represented Jamaica at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz (Mexico) two years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 11.8ppg, 7.5rpg, 3.0apg, 1.5spg, Blocks-2 (1.3bpg), FGP: 28.8%, 3PT: 13.3%, FT: 73.3%.
Smith has played previously professionally in Spain (Argon Uni Girona) and Portugal (Lombos Quinta).
