Vanessa Gidden (ex Wisla Krakow) signs at Campus Promete

Vanessa Gidden

Campus Promete Logrono (LFB) landed 32-year old Jamaican ex-international power forward Vanessa Gidden (192-85, college: Hofstra, agency: ProDep Management). She played most recently at Wisla Krakow in Polish BLK league. Gidden managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 21 BLK games she averaged 9.8ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.6apg. She also played 5 games in Euroleague where she had very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 10.2rpg and 1.8apg. Gidden also played 2 games in Eurocup where she recorded 11.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.0apg. The other team she played that season for was Araski. In 11 games she got 12.2ppg, 8.2rpg and 1.5apg.
Gidden's team made it to the Finnish Cup Final Four in 2009. She was a member of Jamaican Senior National Team between 2007 and 2013.
Gidden is a very experienced player. She has played also professionally in Israel (Elitzur Ramla and Hap.Petah Tikva), Italy (Napoli BK Women and Alcamo), Romania (Sf.Gheorghe), Turkey (Adana ASKI Mersin), WNBA (Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx), Spain (Perfumerias Avenida and Argon Uni Girona) and Finland (HoNsU).
Gidden attended Hofstra University until 2007 and it will be her eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
