Shaanxi Xinda (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old Jamaican ex-international center Jerome Jordan (215-113kg-86, college: Tulsa). He has played for the last two seasons at Joventut in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 33 games he recorded 10.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg last season. Jordan also played 4 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 11.5ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.5apg.
The previous (16-17) season he played also at Joventut (also in Liga Endesa). In 26 games he had 10.4ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2010 Jordan was drafted by Milwaukee Bucks (NBA) in second round (44th overall). The former University of Tulsa standoutis in his ninth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Jordan played in the final of Drew League in 2014. He was also voted USBasket.com All-D-League 3rd Team back in 2013.
Jordan represented Jamaica at the Centrobasket in San Juan (Puerto Rico) six years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 10.7ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.0apg, Blocks-2 (1.8bpg), FGP: 52.4%, 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 73.9%.
Jordan is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Italy, Philippines, Serbia, Slovenia, NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies) and NBA G League (Erie Bay Hawks and Reno Bighorns).
The scouts decsribe him following way: (by Aran Smith for NBADraft.net in 2010)
Has an ideal NBA center frame with tremendous dimensions including a huge (7-foot-6) wingspan on a 7-plus foot frame Players his size dont often have his agility. Solid in the open floor and has some leaping ability Shows nice touch for a bigman.
Does not appear to enjoy contact and lacks the tough demeanor that you want in a post player Lack of body strength becomes apparent when he meets contact
