JUNIOR CADOUGAN

St. John's Edge (NBL Canada) agreed terms with 28-year old naturalized Jamaican guard Junior Cadougan (187-93kg-90, college: Marquette). He has played for the last two seasons at London Lightning. But in 5 NBL Canada games he had just 1.2ppg last season.
Cadougan has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won NBL Canada championship title in 2017. Cadougan was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Guard of the Year back in 2014.
He represented Canada at the Panamerican Games in Toronto (Canada) three years ago. Cadougan's team won Silver and his stats at that event were 5 games: 3.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.8apg.
Cadougan is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (Aiolos Trikallon), Italy, NBA (Milwaukee Bucks) and Georgia (Batumi).
Cadougan attended Marquette University until 2013 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
On Cadougan: Cadougan has proven he can be a team leader and playmaker, having been the starting point guard on the Canadian National Team for 3 years in a row. This team is blostered with NBA talent: Kelly Olynyk, Tristan Thompson, Robert Sacre, Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, etc...and Cadougan is the one running the show. We have seen improvement in Cadougan's shooting ability, and defense, but he just does not have the footspeed to compete at the NBA level. We expect him to excel in leagues like Greece, Turkey, and Spain due to his high basketball IQ and leadership, which will eventually lead him to being a solid player at the Euroleague level.
