OMARI JOHNSON

Indiana Pacers inked 28-year old naturalized Jamaican forward Omari Johnson (206-104kg-89, college: Oregon State). Johnson ended the last season at Grizzlies where in four NBA G League games he recorded 5.5ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.8apg. But the most of that year he spent at Hustle. In 44 NBA G League games he averaged impressive 16.5ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.6apg.
Johnson has never been drafted by the NBA. But in 2012 Canton Charge selected him in fifth round (74th overall) in the D-League draft.
He attended Oregon State until 2011 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Johnson received USBasket.com All-NBL Canada 1st Team award back in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. Johnson has played also professionally in Lithuania (Neptunas), Spain (Carramimbre), other NBA teams (Portland Trail Blazers) and other NBA G League teams (Maine Red Claws).
