Herbert Morrison begin basketball title defence today - Oct 26, 2018

Herbert Morrison Technical will start the quest for a sixth-straight double in the ISSA Western Boys' Under-16 and Under-19 basketball championships when they play Muschett High as part of a double-header at Wakefield, Trelawny, starting at 2:00 pm today. Herbert Morrison have dominated the western region the last half a decade and won the national Under-19 title last year, beating Camperdown High in the final played in Kingston. Also today, William Knibb Memorial will host neighbours Holland High. The season got under way on Monday with former champions Cornwall College hammering St James High 52-17 in an Under-16 game played at Cornwall College. Rushane Francis scored a double-double 10 points and 11 steals to lead Cornwall College, while Romario Senior scored a game-high 14 points and eight rebounds, and Peter Murray had seven points and 11 rebounds. Cornwall got off to a fast start and led 17-2 after the first quarter and 39-10 at half-time before taking their feet off the gas in the second half. Josan Williams and Kemauny Welsh both scored four points for St James High.

WBA Round 6: First victory of Lucea - 4 days ago
What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. Lucea's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Titans, where they defeated Titans (1-3) 66-53 on Thursday. Lucea maintains seventh position with 1-4 record.
