David Samuels (ex Kapfenberg) joins Estela - Jan 31, 2019

Igualatorio Cantabria Estela Santander (LEB Silver) agreed terms with 28-year old American (has also Jamaican passport) power forward David Samuels (203-102kg-91, college: Long Beach State, agency: Dynamics Global Management). He supposed to play at Kapfenberg Bulls in Austrian A Bundesliga, but left the team in Oct.'18. In three games he had 11.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3bpg this season. Samuels also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 6.0ppg, 8.5rpg and 2.0apg. The last season he played at Apollon (Division A) in league. In 14 games he averaged 9.4ppg and 5.5rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Samuels' team made it to the Big West Tournament Semifinals in 2014. He was also voted All-Big West Honorable Mention back in 2015 at his college time.
Samuels has played also professionally in France (Etoile Angers).
He attended Long Beach State until 2015 and it is his fourth season as a professional player.
