Here is the weekly review of the top performing Jamaican players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Dylan Ennis (188-91, agency: BeoBasket, college: Oregon, currently plays in EuroCup). He led his Spanish team Gran Canaria to a victory over the ninth-ranked JL Bourg (1-3) crushing them 78-49 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Ennis was MVP of the game. He recorded 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds (made all of his five free throws) in 26 minutes on the court. Herbalife Gran Canaria (3-1) is placed first in the Eurocup. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Ennis' first year with the team. Ennis has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.3apg, 1.8spg, 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 85.7% in four games he played so far. Ennis has a dual citizenship: Canadian and Jamaican. He played for the Jamaican senior national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa, currently plays in Japan). He could not help Fukuoka Rizing (5-6) in their last game. Despite Jordan's very good performance the fourth-placed Fukuoka Rizing (5-6) was badly defeated 80-63 on the road by the lower-ranked (#4) Sendai 89ers in the West group. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Jordan also added 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 34 minutes. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Jordan has very impressive stats this year: 15.4ppg, 7.7rpg, 3.4apg, 2FGP: 51.2% and FT: 78.2% in 11 games. He played for the Jamaican national team in 2014.

   #3. The Jamaican player who performed third best last week abroad was former international small forward Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville, currently plays in France). He was the major contributor in a Orchesien BC's victory against the 12th-ranked Avignon/Pontet (3-8) crushing them 93-59 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game. Alliman recorded 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. in Group B. BC Orchies (6-5) is placed eighth. It's Alliman's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year: 15.2ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 57.4%(70-122) and FT: 73.0% in 11 games. Worth to mention Alliman played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Alliman played for the Jamaican national team seven years ago.

Forward Warren Williams (206-98, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Manhattanville College (3-8) crushing them 99-42 in the NCAA on Tuesday night. He recorded 12 points. The Manhattan College has 0-0 overall record this season. Williams is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Manhattan's roster. This season Williams has very high stats. He averages: 15.2ppg, 7.7rpg and 1.7spg. Williams is also Jamaican national team player.

Former U17 international swingman Joshua Minott (206-2, currently studies in the States) contributed to an Memphis' surprising victory against the Tennessee Tech University crushing them 89-65 in the NCAA last Tuesday. He recorded 7 points. The University of Memphis have 0-0 overall record this season. This year Minott has very high stats. He averages: 15.2ppg, 7.7rpg and 1.7spg. Minott used to play for the Jamaican U17 national team two years ago.

   #6. Forward Kareem Reid (206-0, is currently at the American university) was not able to help the Gardner-Webb (0-0) in their game against the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in the NCAA. He scored 6 points and blocked 2 shots. It was his first game for Gardner-Webb this season. His team was defeated 64-58 at home by the University of Nevada -. Reid is a naturalized American. He is a former U17 international player as he played for the Jamaican team four years ago.

   #7. Former international power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: FSU, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Quimper UJAP (5-1) in their last game. Despite Reid's good performance the league leader Quimper UJAP lost 68-72 in Nancy to the lower-ranked (#4) Sluc. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. They ended the series of five consecutive victories. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Reid's overall stats are: 7.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.6apg in five games. He is a naturalized American. Reid used to play for the Jamaican national team ten years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Jamaican passport but never been selected to any of Jamaican national teams:

   #1. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-G-91, college: Calgary, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) led his Danish team Bakken to a victory over the closely-ranked Peristeri (2-3) 83-75 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. Ogungbemi-Jackson was the best player in that game. He scored 26 points (!!!), grabbed 5 boards, passed 4 assists and added 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Bakken Bears Aarhus (3-2) is placed second in the FIBA Europe Cup. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Ogungbemi-Jackson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 2.8rpg and 5.6apg. Ogungbemi-Jackson has a dual citizenship: Jamaican and Canadian. Despite his Jamaican passport, Ogungbemi-Jackson previously played for the Canadian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Jamaican team.

   #2. Kyle Hunt (208-F/C-89, college: USAO, currently plays in Japan) could not help Osaka Evessa (4-8) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the eighth-placed Osaka Evessa (4-8) lost 72-81 on the road to the lower-ranked (#10) Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots in the West group. Hunt had a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 12 rebounds in 29 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Hunt has very impressive stats this year: 15.1ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg in 12 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American.

   #3. Willesley Butler (203-F-96, college: UAB, currently plays in Sweden) was not able to help Umea (2-9) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Butler's very good performance Umea was defeated 93-86 at home by the higher-ranked SBBK (#3). He recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 12 rebounds. Butler also added 3 assists and 2 blocks. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Butler's first year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Butler averages: 15.2ppg, 8.5rpg and 2.2apg. He is a naturalized American.

   #4. Nick Richards (212-C-97, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Charlotte Hornets (6-7) in their game against the Sacramento Kings (5-7) in the NBA. Richards scored 7 points and had 3 steals in 19 minutes. The Charlotte Hornets (6-7) were crushed 140-110 in Sacramento by the Kings. It was Hornets' fifth consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Richards' first year with the team. This season his overall stats are: 3.3ppg and 1.8rpg in 10 games.

   #5. Malik Grant (190-G-92, college: Loyalist, currently plays in Montenegro) was the main contributor in Pljevlja's victory against one of league's weakest teams SC Derby Podgorica 2 (0-4) 74-57 in the Montenegrin Prva B (second division) on Friday night. Grant was the best player in that game. He recorded 30 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds. KK Pljevlja (4-0) is placed first in the Prva B. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended. It's Grant's first season with the team. This year Grant has very high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.3apg and 1.8spg. Grant is another player who holds two passports: Canadian and Jamaican.

   #6. Shaquille Keith (198-PG-93, college: Cape Breton, currently plays in Finland) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Vilpas crushing them 107-79 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Friday. Keith scored 14 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season Keith has very high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 3.1apg and 1.4spg. Keith has both Jamaican and Canadian nationalities.

   #7. Jahmal Jones (181-PG-91, college: Ryerson, currently plays in Alpe-Adria-Cup) was the major contributor in a Usti n/Labem's victory against the league outsider Prievidza crushing them 102-71 in the Alpe Adria Cup on Wednesday night. He scored 14 points and added 7 passes (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 25 minutes. It was his first game for Usti n/Labem this season. Similarly like Keith and Grant above Jones also holds two passports: Jamaican and Canadian.

   #8. Joel James (208-F-94, college: UNC, currently plays in Turkey) managed to help TED Kolejliler Ankara to win against the 14th-ranked Kagitspor 78-69 in the Turkish TBL (second division) in Monday night's game. He recorded 5 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. James' overall stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 12.3rpg, 1.3apg and 1.5bpg. He is a naturalized American.

   #9. Alex Campbell (191-PG-93, college: Windsor, currently plays in France) contributed to a Boulazac Basket's victory against the 12th-ranked ALM Evreux 117-110 in the French ProB (second division) last Tuesday. Campbell scored 9 points, made 5 passes and 3 steals in 42 minutes. This year Campbell's overall stats are: 6.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.0apg in three games. He holds both Jamaican and Canadian passports.

   #10. Brynton Lemar (193-G-95, college: UC Davis, currently plays in VTB United League) couldn't help Enisey in their game against Lokomotiv in the VTB United League. Lemar recorded 8 points and added 5 assists. His team was defeated 101-93. Lemar's overall stats this season are: 8.8ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.8apg. He is a naturalized American.
