Jerome Jordan

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international center Jerome Jordan (215-86, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Tulsa, currently plays in Japan). He led Fukuoka Rizing to a victory over the sixth-ranked Ehime OV (12-19) 93-89 in the Japanese B2 League last Friday. Jordan was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 11 rebounds. Jordan also added 4 assists. Fukuoka Rizing (14-16) is placed fifth in West group. Jordan has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.5ppg, 8.1rpg, 3.0apg, 2FGP: 51.0% and FT: 74.8%. Jordan played for the Jamaican senior national team eight years ago.

Joshua Minott

   #2. Second place goes to former U17 international swingman Joshua Minott (206-2, currently plays college basketball in the States). He contributed to Memphis' surprising victory against the University of Cincinnati (1-2) 87-80 in the NCAA last Sunday. Minott recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds. The University of Memphis have 3-1 conference record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. It's Minott's first year with the team. His overall stats this season are: 5.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 2FGP: 60.4%(32-53) and FT: 65.0%. Minott played for the Jamaican U17 national team in 2019.

   #3. The Jamaican player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville, currently plays in South Korea). He could not help LG Sakers (14-18) to beat Mobis Phoebus (18-14). Samuels scored 9 points in only 13 minutes. But LG Sakers were edged 73-70 at home by the higher-ranked (#4) Mobis Phoebus. This year Samuels averages only 3.5ppg and FT: 66.7% in four games he played so far. He played for the Jamaican national team eight years ago.

Joel Bailey
Joel Bailey
   #4. Guard Joel Bailey (190-98, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to an easy victory against the Wilmington University (1-3) 83-65 in the NCAA2 last Saturday. He scored 17 points, grabbed 7 boards, dished 8 assists and stole 4 balls in 36 minutes. The Nyack College has 3-1 record this season. Bailey is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in College's roster. Bailey has relatively good stats this season: 11.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.0apg and 2.0spg in 11 games. He is also Jamaican national team player.

Former U17 international forward Kareem Reid (206-0, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Charleston Southern University (0-3) crushing them 88-63 in the NCAA last Wednesday. Reid scored 10 points, had 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks. The Gardner-Webb University has 3-0 conference record this season. So far his team won all three games in the conference. This season Reid has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.1apg and 1.6bpg. He is a naturalized American. Reid used to play for the Jamaican U17 national team five years ago.

   #1. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-PG-91, agency: Slash Sports, college: Calgary, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) led his Danish team Bakken to an easy victory against the closely-ranked London Lions (0-3) 95-80 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game. He scored 12 points and added 6 assists in 32 minutes. Bakken Bears Aarhus (1-2) is placed third in group L. There are only three games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Ogungbemi-Jackson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.7apg and 1.3spg in nine games he played so far. Ogungbemi-Jackson has a dual citizenship: Jamaican and Canadian. Despite his Jamaican passport, Ogungbemi-Jackson previously played for the Canadian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Jamaican team.

   #2. Kofi Cockburn (213-C-99, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Illinois to a victory against the University of Maryland (1-4) 76-64 in the NCAA on Thursday night. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 18 rebounds in 28 minutes. The University of Illinois have 5-0 conference record this season. So far his team won all five games in the conference. Cockburn has very impressive stats this year: 22.0ppg, 12.5rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg in 12 games.

   #3. Javon Masters (183-PG-94, agency: Blacktop Management, college: UNB, currently plays in Romania) could not help Galati (2-2) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance Galati was defeated 85-81 at home by the lower-ranked Pitesti (#10). Masters was the top scorer with 26 points. He also added 4 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). It's Masters' first season with the team. This year Masters has very high stats. He averages: 15.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.0apg and 1.6spg. Masters is another player who holds two passports: Jamaican and Canadian.

   #4. Phil Henry (203-C/F-91, college: ENMU, currently plays in Czech Republic) contributed to Pardubice's victory against the closely-ranked Opava (14-6) 85-73 in the Czech Republic NBL last Tuesday. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK JIP Pardubiceis placed third in the NBL. It's Henry's first season with the team. This year Henry's overall stats are: 8.2ppg and 3.2rpg in 18 games. He is a naturalized American.

   #5. Joel James (208-F-94, college: UNC, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to a TED Ankara's victory against the closely-ranked Mamak (9-6) 77-63 in a derby game in the Turkish TBL (second division) on Saturday night. James recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. TED Kolejliler Ankara (5-7) is placed seventh in the TBL. The Regular Season already ended. James has relatively good stats this season: 10.8ppg, 10.8rpg and 1.3apg. He is a naturalized American.

   #6. Nick Richards (212-C-97, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA) helped Charlotte Hornets win their game against the Detroit Pistons crushing them 140-111 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Richards scored 7 points in only 4 minutes. This year Richards' overall stats are: 4.0ppg and 2.2rpg in 31 games.

   #7. Willesley Butler (203-F-96, college: UAB, currently plays in Sweden) helped Umea win their game against the league outsider Fryshuset crushing them 109-86 in the Swedish Basketligan in Tuesday night's game. Butler scored 12 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season Butler has very high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.9apg. Butler is a naturalized American.

   #8. Lance-Amir Paul (180-PG, currently plays in NCAA2) was not able to help the Gannon University (3-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Paul's very good performance his team was defeated 68-63 in a derby game by the Mercyhurst University. He scored 20 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists. This season Paul has very high stats. He averages: 17.6ppg, 7.4rpg, 4.5apg and 1.3spg.

   #9. Femi Olujobi (206-C/F-96, also represented by Slash Sports, college: DePaul, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Le Portel in their game against Monaco in the French Betclic ELITE ProA. Olujobi scored 9 points in 24 minutes. His team lost 67-79. This year Olujobi's overall stats are: 8.9ppg and 3.3rpg in seven games. He is a naturalized American.

   #10. Prince Foster (193-G, college: Angelo St., currently plays in Luxembourg) couldn't help Telstar (3-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Telstar lost 67-79 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) Heffingen. Foster had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 12 rebounds in 36 minutes. Foster has very impressive stats this year: 18.7ppg, 11.5rpg, 4.8apg and 2.7spg in 16 games. He is a naturalized American.
