Here is the weekly review of the top performing Jamaican players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Dylan Ennis (188-91, agency: BeoBasket, college: Oregon, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Gran Canaria (2-1) in their last game. Despite Ennis' very good performance Gran Canaria was badly defeated 91-72 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) Manresa. He was the top scorer with 20 points in 20 minutes on the court. It's Ennis' first season with the team. Ennis has relatively good stats this year: 15.0ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.9apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 46.9%, 3FGP: 32.3% and FT: 74.3% in 16 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Canadian and Jamaican. Ennis played for the Jamaican senior national team eight years ago.

Joshua Minott

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former U17 international swingman Joshua Minott (206-2, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA. Minott was not able to help the Memphis (3-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Memphis were edged 72-71 at home by the East Carolina University. Minott recorded 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and made 3 blocks in a mere 18 minutes. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. This year Minott averages: 6.3ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 54.9%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 68.0% in 16 games. He played for the Jamaican U17 national team in 2019.

   #3. The Jamaican player who performed third best last week abroad was former U17 international forward Kareem Reid (206-0, currently studies in the States). Reid was not able to secure a victory for the Gardner-Webb (3-2) in their game against the University of South Carolina Upstate (4-1) in the NCAA, despite his very good performance last Wednesday. He scored 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 27 minutes. But the Gardner-Webb (#5) lost 61-74 in Spartanburg to the University of South Carolina Upstate. This year Reid has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.1apg, 1.6bpg, 2FGP: 62.0%(85-137) and FT: 59.6% in 18 games. He is a naturalized American. Reid played for the Jamaican U17 national team five years ago.

   #4. Guard Joel Bailey (190-98, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Nyack College (3-2) in their game against the Jefferson University (6-0) in the NCAA2. Despite his very good performance on Sunday night He recorded 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Bailey is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in College's roster. Bailey has reliable stats this season: 12.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.0apg and 1.9spg. He is also Jamaican national team player.

   #5. International forward Warren Williams (206-98, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the Manhattan (2-3) in their game against the Niagara University (3-4) in the NCAA. Despite his very good performance last Tuesday Williams scored 16 points and blocked 2 shots. Williams has been at the team for five years. His stats this season are: 10.4ppg and 3.9rpg. Williams plays currently for the Jamaican national team.

   #6. Power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville, currently plays in South Korea) managed to help Changwon LG Sakers in a 3-point victory against the third-ranked Anyang KGC (18-12) 82-79 in the South Korean KBL on Tuesday night. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 11 minutes. Changwon LG Sakers (15-18) are placed seventh in the KBL. This year Samuels' overall stats are: 3.4ppg and 1.6rpg in five games. He is a former international player as he played for the Jamaican senior team eight years ago.

   #7. Former international power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: FSU, currently plays in France) couldn't help Quimper UJAP (1-0) in their game against Lille Metropole (6-8) in the French ProB (second division), despite his very good performance last Saturday. He was the top scorer with 17 points in a mere 19 minutes. But Quimper UJAP lost 75-84 in Lille to the much lower-ranked (#12) Metropole. This year Reid's total stats are: 9.5ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.4apg in 13 games. He is a naturalized American. Reid used to play for the Jamaican national team eleven years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Jamaican passport but never been selected to any of Jamaican national teams:

   #1. Reginald Kissoonlal (213-F/C-96, agency: One Motive Sports, college: Marian, IN, currently plays in Denmark) led Randers to a victory over the eighth-ranked Wolfpack (4-10) 107-96 in the Danish BasketLigaen last Saturday. Kissoonlal was MVP of the game. He scored 30 points (!!!), grabbed 9 boards, handed out 7 passes and blocked 2 shots (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line); quite an impressive performance considering it's only Kissoonlal's third season in pro basketball. Randers Cimbria Basketball (8-4) is placed fourth in the BasketLigaen. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kissoonlal has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 20.8ppg, 10.0rpg, 2.8apg and 2.5bpg. Kissoonlal is a naturalized American. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #2. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-PG-91, agency: Slash Sports, college: Calgary, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked London Lions (0-3) 95-80 in the FIBA Europe Cup on Wednesday night. He scored 12 points and added 6 assists in 32 minutes. Bakken Bears Aarhus (1-2) is placed third in group L. There are only three games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Ogungbemi-Jackson has very impressive stats this year: 16.0ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.7apg and 1.3spg in nine games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Jamaican and Canadian. Despite Ogungbemi-Jackson's Jamaican passport, he previously played for the Canadian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Jamaican team.

   #3. Kofi Cockburn (213-C-99, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an Illinois' surprising victory against the University of Michigan (2-3) 68-53 in the NCAA in Friday night's game. Cockburn recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. The University of Illinois have quite an impressive 6-1 conference record this season. This year Cockburn has very high stats. He averages: 21.1ppg and 11.8rpg.

   #4. Willesley Butler (203-F-96, college: UAB, currently plays in Sweden) could not help one of league's weakest teams Umea (7-13) in their last game. Despite Butler's very good performance Umea was crushed 93-65 on the road by the higher-ranked (#6) Nassjo. He was the top scorer with 17 points. Butler also added 9 rebounds in 33 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Butler has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.9apg in 19 games. He is a naturalized American.

   #5. Femi Olujobi (206-C/F-96, also represented by Slash Sports, college: DePaul, currently plays in France) was not able to help Le Portel (1-0) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Olujobi's good performance Le Portel was badly defeated 98-82 in Nanterre by the lower-ranked JSF Nanterre (#8). He scored 13 points. This season Olujobi averages: 8.8ppg and 3.3rpg. He is a naturalized American.

   #6. Javon Masters (183-PG-94, agency: Blacktop Management, college: UNB, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in Galati's victory against the 12th-ranked Focsani 74-66 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday. Masters scored 18 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals. This season Masters has very high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.9apg and 1.8spg. Masters is another player who holds two passports: Jamaican and Canadian.

   #7. Ryan Rhoomes (203-C-92, college: Fordham, currently plays in France) contributed to a Saint Vallier's victory against the closely-ranked Aix-Maurienne 68-60 in the French ProB (second division) on Saturday night. He scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 30 minutes. This year Rhoomes has relatively solid stats: 12.6ppg and 6.6rpg in 13 games. He is a naturalized American.

   #8. Tafari Simms (201-F-99, currently studies in the States) helped Milwaukee win their game against the Indiana Univ-Purdue Univ-Indianapolis crushing them 89-54 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Simms recorded 19 points. Simms' overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg and 3.2rpg. He has both Canadian and Jamaican nationalities.

   #9. Experienced Ryan Wright (205-C/F-87, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Kosovo) was not able to secure a victory for Trepca (10-6) in their last game. Despite Wright's very good performance Trepca lost 80-94 at home to the leading Prizreni-16. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds in 24 minutes. Wright's stats this year are: 12.5ppg and 8.0rpg in two games. He also holds two passports: Canadian and Jamaican.

   #10. Clint Robinson (203-F/C-94, college: UIC, currently plays in Argentina) helped Obera win their game against the closely-ranked Union SF crushing them 99-67 in the Argentinian La Liga in Friday night's game. Robinson scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Robinson's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.2bpg.
