Piratas-de-la-Guaira (SPB) landed experienced 34-year old Jamaican ex-international 208cm center Adrian Forbes (college: Auburn), agency: Haylett Sports. Forbes played last summer at Titanes in LNB league in Dominican Republic. In three games he averaged 4.0ppg and 5.0rpg.
In 2015 (three years after his graduation) he was drafted by Canton Charge (D-League) in second round (34th overall).
The former Auburn University standout is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. He was a member of Jamaican Senior National Team between 2009 and 2014.
Forbes is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eleven different countries playing on five different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. Forbes has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Muharraq), France (Cognac BB), Indonesia (Pelita Jaya), Japan (Kagawa Five Arrows), New Zealand (Airs), Philippines (NLEX Road Warriors and Alab Pilipinas), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli), Venezuela (Guaiqueries), Dominican Republic (Metros and Pueblo Nuevo), NBA G League (Grand Rapids Gold) and Bolivia (CAN Potosi).
Among many awards he won Bolivian Libobasquet championship title in 2021. He was voted to All-Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas Honorable Mention back in 2019.
