Shevon Thompson added to the roster of Nancy

Newly promoted Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (Betclic ELITE ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old Jamaican 213cm center Shevon Thompson (college: GMU) for season 2023-24. Thompson is the second import player in the roster as Nigerian Ike Nwamu signed here earlier.
He played most recently at FOS Provence Basket. In 32 Betclic ELITE ProA games in France he recorded 12.6ppg and 7.4rpg last season.
He was also voted to Eurobasket.com Belgian League All-Imports Team back in 2019 and 2020.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Clippers in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 41 games he averaged 10.9ppg and 10.1rpg in that year.
In 2016 he was drafted by Erie BayHawks (D-League) in second round (33rd overall).
The former George Mason University standout is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in seven different countries. Thompson has played previously professionally in Belgium (Oostende), Germany (ALBA Berlin and Brose Bamberg), Lebanon (Moutahed), Spain (Fuenlabrada), Turkey (Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi), NBA (Toronto Raptors) and NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks, Raptors 905 Missisauga and Wisconsin Herd).
Thompson's team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2022. He was also selected to Eurobasket.com Belgian League All-Imports Team back in 2019 and 2020. He played also for Harcum College for one year.
