Kentan Facey joins Poitiers

Union Poitiers Basket 86 (NM1) agreed terms with 29-year old Jamaican forward Kentan Facey (206cm-93kg-1993, college: UConn, agency: Inception Sports) for new 2023-24 season. Facey will still stay in France where he played last season at Saint Vallier Basket Drome (ProB). In 34 games he had 9.8ppg and 6.2rpg. NM1 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week.
He played in the final of AAC Tournament in 2014 and 2015.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at ADA Blois (also in ProB). In 15 games he recorded 6.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.3apg in that year.
He is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Cyprus (AEL Limassol), Greece (Trikala) and The Basketball Tournament (Sideline Cancer).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Honorable Mention back in 2020.
Facey graduated from University of Connecticut in 2017 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player. He played in the final of AAC Tournament in 2014 and 2015.
