Stefan Smith

Cholet Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) signed 24-year old Canadian-Jamaican guard Stefan Smith (187cm-86kg-1999, college: St.John's, agency: Players Group) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. He is the second foreign player on the roster, with USA TJ Campbell signing earlier. Smith played last season at Entente Orleans 45 in the ProB, where he put up impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 3.5rpg, and 3.4apg in 37 games.
Eight years ago, he represented Canada at the World Championships U17 in Zaragoza (Spain). During this event, he averaged 5.3 points per game and had 3.3 rebounds per game.
He has played ppg in Canada and Serbia (Kolubara) previously.
Among many awards, his team won the CEBL Western Conference Regular Season in 2023. Smith was voted to the USBasket.com All-CEBL Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from St. John's University in 2022 and it will be his third season as a pro player. Smith played for University of Vermont for 4 years.
