The Upper Room Eagles soared to victory over the Spanish Town Spartans in their recent encounter. The Spartans started strong, surging to a 15-8 lead by the end of the first quarter and maintaining a narrow 26-23 cushion by halftime. However, last season’s beaten finalists, the Eagles, were determined not to fall to the Spartans. Led by David Thomas’ impressive double-double performance of 13 points and 15 rebounds, they secured the win. Thomas received valuable support from Tadre Dickens, who contributed 11 points and 5 rebounds.
Despite their assertiveness and spirited offense, the Spartans couldn’t contain the Eagles’ onslaught. Nickardo Golding led the Spartans with 11 points and a massive 18 rebounds, while Radher Bromfield added 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Jumario Grant also contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Eagles’ dominance.
