Yesterday’s lone @nbljamaica showdown was no April Fools prank—it was a basketball masterclass by the St. Georges Slayers! Facing the Portmore Flames, both teams came in with nearly identical records, but the Slayers turned up the heat and dominated the court.
By the second quarter, the Slayers had wrapped their tentacles around the game, leaving Portmore struggling for air. By halftime, it was clear there was no coming back. Not only did the Slayers outpace the Flames—they owned every quarter with scores of 19-13, 25-11, 12-8, and 20-11, securing a decisive 76-43 victory.
The Millis brothers were the stars of the night, showcasing brilliant teamwork and recording impressive double-doubles. Daunte Millis put up 16 points and snagged 10 rebounds, while Romario Millis contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds. Richmoor Morris added solid support, delivering 12 points, four assists, and four steals. On the Flames side, Acquaine Ferguson led with 8 points, though it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
It was a night of basketball brilliance from the Slayers—proving they’re ready to rise to new heights as the season heats up!
