The Upper Room Eagles head to the semis

The Upper Room Eagles cruised to a 78-61 victory over Spanish Town Spartans last Thursday, securing their place in the 2025 NBL semifinals.
By halftime, the Eagles held a 37-33 lead, but a dominant third quarter run stretched their advantage to 14 points, sealing the win. Dejeran Royal spearheaded the charge with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, while Kevaughn Lewars-Smith added 14 points and 9 rebounds.
For the Spartans, their season came to an end despite a game-high 28-point, 7-rebound performance from Damian Johnson, and Philip Reid’s 14 points and 4 boards.
The Eagles now turn their focus to the UWI Runnin’ Rebels, with their semifinal series tipping off this Thursday, June 19, 2025.
