After dropping Game 1, the Lady Eagles roared back in dominant fashion on Sunday at the National Stadium, dismantling the Lady Celtics with a commanding 73-45 win to level the WNBL Finals series at 1-1. The Eagles came out firing, building a 34-18 halftime lead that disrupted the Celtics’ rhythm on both ends of the floor. Though the second half saw a more spirited effort from the Celtics, the damage had already been done, and the Eagles cruised to victory, forcing a decisive Game 3 on Tuesday. Carissa Robinson once again led by example, tallying 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists, while also orchestrating the offense with poise. She received strong support from Shadae Gordon (12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) and Kiara Goffe, who chipped in with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and an assist. For the Celtics, Peatri-Ann Buchanan remained the lone bright spot, pouring in 27 points and 9 rebounds, continuing her stellar postseason run. With the series now tied, all eyes turn to Tuesday’s finale—a winner-takes-all clash that promises fireworks and history in the making.
