The Urban Knights booked their spot in the 2025 NBL Finals, edging St. George’s Slayers 74-69 in overtime to complete the semifinal sweep. The defending champs came out ruthless, storming to a 21-4 first quarter lead, but the Slayers roared back with a 23-11 second quarter run, trimming the halftime gap to 31-27. With intensity high and momentum shifting, the teams battled neck and neck through the second half, finishing regulation locked at 64 apiece. In the extra period, Ramone Spence stepped up once again, dropping 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Nicholai Brown powered through with a 12-point, 15-rebound double-double. Alex Levy (193-SG) and Tyrece Spence also played key roles, contributing 12 points each and combining for 10 boards, 7 assists, and 8 steals.
Despite Lushane Wilson (196-G, college: Chipola JC)’s 21-point, 16-rebound double-double and Richmoor Morris’s 19-point effort, the Slayers fell short.
