Jahvaughn Powell joins Cantabria

Grupo Alega Cantabria Torrelavega (Primera FEB) added 29-year-old USA-Jamaican guard Jahvaughn Powell (183cm-1996, college: Nicholls, agency: Helping Ballers) to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. He joins fellow USA player Reginald Johnson on the team. Powell played for Zamora Enamora for the last two seasons. In 32 Primera FEB games in Spain, he averaged 8.6ppg, 1.8rpg, and 2.4apg last season.
He has played professionally in Portugal (Oliveirense), Spain (Alcobendas, Azpeitia Juaristi Iraurgi Saski Baloia, La Roda, and Carbajosa), and Portugal.
Among many awards, his team won the Spanish LEB Plata Cup in 2024. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Honorable Mention back in 2019.
Powell graduated from Nicholls State University in 2018 and it'll be his eighth season as a pro player. He also played for Tallahassee Community College for 2 years.
