Jamaica edged Puerto Rico 92–90 in a thrilling World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifier, surviving a dramatic fourth-quarter surge to claim a narrow victory. The teams were level after an explosive 26–26 first quarter, but Puerto Rico seized the momentum in the second with a 31–26 run to take a five-point lead into halftime. Jamaica roared back in the third, dominating 24–11 to flip the game in their favor. Puerto Rico fought hard in the final period, outscoring Jamaica 22–16, but the Jamaicans held their nerve in the closing moments to secure a tight, hard-earned two-point win.
Kofi Cockburn (213-C-1999, college: Illinois) top-scored for the winners with 26 points and Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (195-PF-1991, college: Lamar) brought 15. Christopher Ortiz (G) scored 17 points in a loss.
