Correcaminos - Aguilas 74-71
Correcaminos registered the first victory in Panama City. They overcame Aguilas in a tough Group C battle. Danilo Pinnock (196-F/G-84, college: G.Washington) stepped up with 23 points to lead the Panamanian side. Aguilas eked out an 18:16 lead after the first period. Correcaminos though quickly spurred ahead as they secured a 38:32 halftime lead. Aguilas fought hard to deny the deficit in the second half but Correcaminos held on and secured a narrow victory at the end. Jaime Lloreda (204-C/F-80, college: LSU, agency: Paris Global Sports) delivered 17 points and 15 boards in the win. Jonathan Rodriguez (196-F-87, college: Campbell) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds for Aguilas.

Flamengo - GECR Indalo 66-58
Flamengo got to the winning start of their Liga Americas campaign. They held off GECR Indalo in the opener. Marquinhos Vieira (207-SF-84) posted 15 points to lead the Brazilian team. Flamengo recorded a 35:28 halftime lead. GECR Indalo bounced back with a 27-point effort in the third term to spur ahead. But Flamengo answered with a 17:3 surge in the final period to seal the victory. Jerome Meyinsse (206-C-88, college: Virginia) and Marcelo Machado (201-SG-75, agency: Interperformances) posted 10 points each for the winners. Matias Sandes (201-F-84) responded with 17 points for GECR Indalo.

FINAL San Lorenzo - Mogi 79-71 San Lorenzo celebrated Liga Americas title. They beat Mogi das Cruzes in the championship game. It looked good early as Mogi took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then San Lorenzo had a 20-13 second period charge getting the lead and Mogi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-79. San Lorenzo and Mogi das Cruzes will clash for Liga Americas title in Buenos Aires tonight. They claimed victories in the respective semifinals on Saturday. San Lorenzo cruised past Estudiantes Concordia 101:78. Gabriel Deck (199-F-95) stepped up with 30 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort. San Lorenzo built a 42:34 halftime lead.
