Santa Tecla stunned Banco Atlantida to secure the first win at the tournament. Robert Martinez (185-PG-91, college: Our Lady Lake) came up with 17 points and 7 assists for the Salvadaor team. Santa Tecla registered a 46:33 halftime lead. The gap grew at 18-point mark at the final break and never looked back en route to the win. James Valladares (205-F/C-89, college: New Hampshire) had 15 points and 8 boards in the victory. Quincy Scates (197-F-89, college: Tenn Wesleyan) responded with 24 points for Banco Atlantida.
Halcones - Costa Caribe 73-85
Costa Caribe overcame Halcones to take 1-0 record in San Salvador. Bartel Lopez (212-C-89, agency: Paris Global Sports) topscored with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Nicaraguan team. Costa Caribe fired 27 points in the second term to take a 50:43 halftime lead. They held Halcones to just 5 points in the fourth quarter and rallied to the win. Dalton Cacho had 14 points in the victory. Jared Ruiz (188-G-92) responded with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Halcones.

Correcaminos opened win count in San Salvador. They fired past San Pedro in the opener. Ernesto Oglivie (203-F-89) and Ryan Abrahams (191-SG-81, college: Hawaii-Hilo) recorded 14 points each to pace the Panamanian team. Correcaminos recorded a 58:31 halftime lead. They extended the gap at 29-point mark at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the win. Bradley Da Costa (183-PG-89) finished with 12 points in the victory. Ashton Edwards (SG) responded with 19 points for San Pedro Tigersharks.
